I thought about plantation shutters, but I am so excited I purchased this instead. Its FANTASTIC. The colors are beautiful. And the first thing people see when they walk into my kitchen is my guardian dragon. I found some fantastic curtains at JCP that match perfectly and a great rug from Target with these same colors. I've never decorated a kitchen before, but with this screen, I actually have a focal point if you can believe it. It arrived on time. The put tissue paper between the panels so the hand painting isn't damaged. Sadly mine came with a bit of damage, but I loved him instantly and a bit of paint on my own patched him right up. I get tons of sunlight and my neighbors can't watch me cook. So, I immediately bought a different one from this company for my master bathroom.

(More customer reviews)Very disappointed by this screen (enough that I'm returning it). It arrived slightly bent so it wouldn't sit flat against the fireplace. The top right corner was bent away from the fireplace by a good three inches. The frame is not solid steel, but is rectangle tubes of very light weight steel? Aluminum? I know the description says steel but it's the lightest steel I've seen. One door was warped and did not close properly. For the door that did close properly the magnetic catch is very cheap and weak - the slightest touch would cause the door to pop open.

What good is a screen that protects you from oil splatters if you can't wash off the oil? In addition, they offer a money back guarantee, but you have to pay postage to return the oversized product, which ends up costing a disappointed customer even more money than they paid in the first place. I expected more from Farberware since this is supposed to be their area of expertise. I expect a dollar store product to rust, but not an $11 kitchenware item.

I put this in front of my office window to block the construction site outside and there was almost no difference. I could clearly see the men, the trucks, and all the ruckus outside. That's because the chintzy black fabric is 100% see-thru when placed in front of a sunny window, like a sheer curtain. A privacy screen with no privacy? No thanks, it's going back.
