Don't be fooled by the name "Slow Juicer", this machine is definately way faster than the Omega juicer and only has fewer parts. The omega is a pain to clean and has too many parts. It may cost more but is worth it.

The Juiceman Electronic Professional Series 410 Elite Edition Review

The Juiceman Electronic Professional Series 410 Elite Edition
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This juicer is a very high quality juicer at an extremely low price. I've used juicers that were $400 and more, and this one blows them all away, for several reasons.
The main reason I love this blender so much is the ease of cleaning it. It takes a mere minute or two to clean this sucker, when I've spent 5 minutes cleaning other juicers. The Juiceman II also juices basically any vegetable you throw at it, unlike other juicers. I've had no problem juicing the toughest of greens like kale, and even wheatgrass, which some say you need to buy a seperate juicer for. Hogwash! The Juiceman II does it just fine.
I'm on my second model, because the first one died after about 2 or 3 years of use. So it's pretty durable from my experience. The reason it died was I tried to juice a frozen banana, which is not recommended. Anyway, great model, and I'm glad I own one.

Juiceman II JM410 Elite Juice Extractor Whether youre into nutrition-laden wheatgrass tonics or really superb fresh orange juice, a juicer is a great way to go. Fruits and vegetables are an essential part of a healthy diet, and additive-free fresh juice is a convenient and quick alternative to eating all of them whole. This professional-quality Juiceman makes the process very quick for the serious juice enthusiast. A few simple twists attach and detach the juice bowl, blade basket, and cover to and from the base unit, which has a footprint comparable to the average blender. Produce cut to the appropriate size goes in the feed tube, then is gently pressed into the blade basket with a plunger.

Norpro "The Original" Sauce Master Review

Norpro The Original Sauce Master
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I'm wondering why it never occurred to anyone else to simply put a 9x13 under their sauce master to collect the sauce. I use one of my baking pans and it holds plenty of strawberry puree for jam. It pours well into a measuring cup without a mess. So no, there isn't a problem with design here.
Also, my sister in law has another company's similar product and complains that in making sauces her's splatters off the screen very badly. Mine is perfectly clean as the sauce guard catches all of it. There is at times a problem with the discard backing up and falling into the sauce but it only happens when my children are running the machine and not paying attention. An adult should have no problem getting it to work without incident.

Samson / Matstone 6-in-1 Juicer - Model GB9001 - 10 Yr Warranty Review

Samson / Matstone 6-in-1 Juicer - Model GB9001 - 10 Yr Warranty
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I am a huge juicer. Every morning my wife and I juice. We noticed that our juiceman jr was not efficiently juicing our green vegies. It was wasting 90% of them. The green veggies (expensive I might add) went right into the plastic bin hardly touched. I went to Jamba Juice and they explained how an auger presses the green juices - and, that's what Jamba uses for their wheat grass....well, the rest is history. I did my homework and found out that augers are more efficient just like Jamba explained. And, kitchens best walked me through the entire thing. Plus, they offered a 90 day money back warranty. They are incredibly nice and I can't believe they offer that kind of awesome money back gaurantee. Anyway, they are RIGHT about the juicer - it absolutely presses out 95% more green juice than the Jack Lalane and Juice man Jr. styles..and it does a better job on apples, ginger, and everything else too. The ONLY down side is - it's a slower process. But, in life - you can't have everything. I would much rather take a minute or two more each day and get my monies worth out of the fruits and veggies I buy than to speed through it and waste my food. Also, I seriously think it tastes better too!! Reason being, the other style spins it so fast - I swear it tasted "burned" sometimes. The Samson seems sweeter and more mellow. Anyway, trust me - you won't go wrong with this juicer or this company. Lovely company. Fair price too. Nobody offers a 90 day warranty...not even KMART OR WALLMART!! Nuff said. Buy it - you will thank me later.

The Matstone 6-in-1 Juicer is the most well known versatile single auger juicer on the market today. It has also been sold for many years under the brand name Samson 6-in-1 Juicer. Buy the original Matstone factory brand direct today and get the same great juicer at a discounted price over other published brands. The Matstone 6-in-1 single auger juicer has six completely different functions, making this juicer six machines in one! Not only can you extract juice from fruit, vegetables, and wheatgrass, you can also: mince or chop seasonings, mince meats and fish, use as a food mill to make bread sticks, cookies, and pastas, or use to extract oil from sesame seeds (extra attachment required). The Matstone Juicer produces 3 and 1/2 times more juice from vegetables and fruits when compared with existing conventional juicers. Regular high-speed juicers can destroy natural flavors and the nutritional value of vegetables and fruits. With its low 80 RPMs, the Matstone Juicer preserves as much flavor and nutritional value as possible. Juice made with the Matstone Juicer can be stored in the fridge for 48 hours without the loss of flavor, nutrients or appearance. The Matstone is made of U.S. FDA-approved polycarbonate and melamine. The materials are semi-permanent and extremely hygienic. The redesign and reinforcing of the juicing screen combined with the advanced auger design gives a finer juice. The auger design also allows for easier processing of fruit and vegetables. The Matstone Juicer has a built-in safety control device to prevent over-heating and it restarts when it has cooled down. The Matstone Juicer is easy to assemble, disassemble, and clean. It only takes 15 seconds to assemble or disassemble this juicer and about a minute to clean it! Whether you're new to juicing or a pro, this juicer will be a benefit to your health. Champion Juicer G5-NG853S-WHITE Household Juicer Review

Champion Juicer G5-NG853S-WHITE Household Juicer
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I got my Champion Juicer about 15 years ago, and LOVED it. It is a well made and versatile workhorse that does everything from grinding grain to making peanut butter. However do not be fooled by the new machines. They look the same, but the interior configuration is different. It does not work the way it is supposed to, and the company doesn't care.
Several years after I got my juicer, my mother-in-law wanted to get a better juicer than the centrifigual one she already had. Upon MY advice, she gave away her old, reliable juicer and bought a Champion. I was shocked that the motor sounded loose and rattly, and the pulp came out wet and drippy. Hardly any juice came out. It was obviously a piece of junk that was either broken, or poor quality, or both.
I called Whole Foods, where it was purchased, and they said that they did not offer any warranties on their juicers. They advised me to contact Champion directly. When I called the Champion company, the person who answered the phone was rude and defensive. She said that they had "upgraded" the unit, and that the noise simply reflected the "better" motor. She flatly denied that the machine could possibly be defective, and she said that the company policy does not allow refunds. She claimed that we must be doing something wrong - it didn't matter that I already owned one and knew how it was supposed to work. My only choice was to ship this extremely heavy machine back to California (AT MY OWN EXPENSE), or accept it as is!
So my unfortunate mother-in-law had given away her good juicer, and was stuck with one that barely worked. It languished in her cupboard for a long time, unused. Now, several years later, she is caring for a sick family member, and desperately needs fresh juice. We lugged it out, thinking that it was better than nothing, but when we plugged it in today, it wouldn't even turn on. The machine is totally dead, and she did not even get a single full glass of juice from it! Of course, the company claims that "nothing is wrong with the machine".
My suggestion is that if you want a good juicer, buy an Omega, or purchase a used Champion that is more than 15 years old.

Tribest SoloStar II Multi-Purpose Juicer for Wheatgrass and more Review

Tribest SoloStar II Multi-Purpose Juicer for Wheatgrass and more
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Drawbacks
My SoloStar II has been plagued by problems. In less than a year, many of the outer parts have broken. The juicing screen ($35.00) has broken three times. When the juicing screens break, it happens before the pulp container is even full. As a result, the auger and juicing screen need to be cleaned constantly within a session. The screen locking cap ($5.80) has also broken. Speaking of the auger, even that cracked ($35.00). Several times, I e-mailed customer service about such issues with no reply. When I called, Tribest Life promptly sent out free replacement parts.
Benefits
When the parts aren't breaking, the SoloStar II works very well. It's simple to assembly and operate. The actual extraction process seems efficient. Cleaning is a breeze since most of the parts rinse under the sink. The only cleaning challenge is the juicing screen. Along these lines, the modified toothbrush that comes with the unit is worthless. I now use a steel auto detailing brush that does a great job. The SoloStar II is visually pleasing and the unit operates at a good volume. I was inspired to purchase the juicer after watching the online video as hosted on the Tribest Life web page. It accompanies the juicer in VHS format. Being a first time juicer, this was extremely helpful.
In conclusion, there are benefits and drawbacks to the SoloStar II. While it may have been a good introduction to the juicing world, I definitely look forward to an upgrade. Talking to juicers (people who juice, not the machines;), it seems that you really need to spend around $350.00-$400.00 before getting a quality juicer. Should you decide to purchase the SoloStar II, make certain that you send in the warranty/registration card. That was essential in getting parts replaced at no charge.

Juiceman Jr. Juicer - JM1 Review

Juiceman Jr. Juicer - JM1
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This little juicer is a great intro into the juicing lifestyle. It is a centrifugal juicer meaning the vegetables you place into it are shredded by tiny teeth and the pulp is thrown against the outer wall of the screen and the juice is forced out by the spinning motion. What you get is a fair amount of juice for the vegetables you place into it. I have owned this juicer for over 5 years with little or no problems at all with it. I usually juice every day so that is saying a good deal for a machine that costs less than $100.
I would give it 5 stars if it were not for the following things:
1. It is noisy, I mean lock up the cat because when you fire it up it resembles a jet engine taking off.
2. A pain to clean. It only has 1 moving part but due to the nature of the process food particles fling all over the inside of it.
3. Bogs down with pulpy fruits.
Some hard-core juicing people say that centrifugal juicers heat the juice up and this destroys nutrients. In my opinion even heated a small amount is still better than sucking down soda and pizza any day.
Juice for your health!

I mainly needed a new juicer for juicing wheatgrass. This machine is great because not only can it juice grass but it can also be used for vegetable and fruit juicing. It has completely replaced my other vegetable and fruit juicer!! Now I just have one machine that does it all! Also a big bonus is that is also makes soy milk! Frozen healthy sorbets, and all natural nut butters, I made cashew butter and it was great and cheaper then buying at the store. Oh yes, I also made fresh pasta, and salsa. The clean up is so easy, the parts won't rust, (which is the reason my old juicer needed to be replaced). It's a breeze a take apart and put back together, just a few seconds. It's a dream, couldn't be happier with this product. Oh yes and it really squeezes the last drop out of the wheatgrass, the pulp comes out bone dry! My last juicer did not do that. I'm getting more juice for my buck!

Champion Juicer G5-PG710 G5-PG720-BLACK Commerical Heavy Duty Juicer Review

Champion Juicer G5-PG710 G5-PG720-BLACK Commerical Heavy Duty Juicer
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Before considering reviews of juicers, the first thing the reader needs to examine is the experience of the reviewer. I've noticed that dozens of these reviews are by those new to juicing, often assessing their first juicer purchase. They then are making arbitrary statements about equipment of which they know little. Rather like assessing a sewing machine, a camera, any piece of technology without sufficient perspective.
I began juicing back in the 70's when I became vegetarian. At that time juicers were not considered fashionable as now, and certainly there were no infomercials or cable! There was a fairly inexpensive line of centrifugal juicers made by Braun, Krups, Oster, etc. There was the Norwalk, still the Rolls-Royce of juicers (at $2000+). There was the excellent Acme centrifugal (now sold as Omega). And there was the Champion, then selling for $250-300. After chopping through a nice little Braun in a year or so I spent hard-earned college earnings on a Champion; they only came in white then. Much of of the hoopla about oxidation of juice hadn't come up yet. We had no health food stores in Texas that I knew about that carried the Champion, so I ordered mine over the phone.
I was shocked when it arrived at the weight. This is no lightweight! Unlike the department store juicers, it has a very large motor, a GE, with tons of torque. This is because this is a masticating juicer with a slow-turning cutting cone. Without the cone assembly on the front it is actually not large at all.
The 'plastic' parts on the Champion were/are nylon rather than just molded plastic. This means they are also quite flexible and are of course shatterproof. The cutting cone is quite different than other machines, being a solid piece of nylon on a large metal cutting shaft. The 'blades' are not sharp as on a centrifugal juicer; one can run one's fingers over them without cutting oneself. Why? Because their purpose is not to cut alone; they force the food around the cone inside the outside housing, then over a curved screen at the bottom where the brushing motion and pressure mash the juice out of the produce. The cone has an indentation that spits the pulp out the front of the cone assembly. Again, this is not the same as a single-auger juicer where the auger forces the food against a screen at the front. I won't say which is better, they're just different. However, unlike single-auger machines like a Samson or Omega 2005, it is not self-feeding. There is a supplied pusher; if you look down in the feeding area you can see that the cone turns while you apply pressure on the food, to grind off bits of the produce to send over the juicing screen. It is NOT pressureless, but you don't have to put your weight on it to get it to feed, either. Judging from what I've seen of twin-gear machines on YouTube and a couple of friends, the pressure required is nothing like trying to force produce through those. There's one bodybuilder on YouTube who demonstrates putting his twin gear on the floor so he can put his weight into it! A child can easily operate the Champion's required force.
Assembly of the Champion is extremely easy. I suppose it sounds quaint now, but one needs to keep a little Crisco container and put a dollop on the motor output shaft prior to juicing. This is a metal-to-metal contact when the juicing cone is put on and simply helps separate the cone when finished. I guess one could use Pam or some spray but I've never had a problem with keeping a little Crisco can for that, and only a very small amount is required. Slide the cone on, put the juicing screen in its recessed holder on the nozzle container holding the cone, a short twist and you're ready.
The Champion amazed me then, and still amazes me at the simplicity and durability of its design. Not a bunch of little plastic parts to keep up with. As the parts are nylon, they won't break if dropped. They don't crack, they don't deform. They just work.
At the end of juicing, just twist the cone exterior a few degrees and it's off. Reach over and pull off the cutting cone. That's it. Take the juicing screen out and scrub it just like any other juicer, except this one is only a little curved screen and very easy to brush w/o any weird crevices. Wash the cone assembly clean, wash the cutting cone, and you're done. I've always owned dishwashers but have never seen the need to run any of this through. Juice pulp is not baked-on spaghetti sauce; it rinses right off, so why dishwash it? These new Champions come in colors; the light colors will certainly stain with carrot and beet juice, as in any other juicer. If it bothers you, just wipe the affected parts with a little bleach and you are back like new. The motor housing is powdercoated paint.
Those who know juicing know that to juice greens they should be alternated with firm produce like carrots, celery, radishes, apples, etc. This aids the juicer in pushing the greens through. This applies to any juicer I've ever seen, including the Norwalk. Don't expect to run pounds of spinach, etc., through without a 'cleaning' carrot every so often. Most of us don't juice just greens anyway. Once again, a little common sense and knowledge.
Since this is a masticating juicer and the pulp comes out the cone in the front, one can conceivably juice all afternoon w/o having to stop and empty anything. I set mine next to the sink so that the cone end just drops the pulp into the sink bowl. Because of the design of the machine and in the interest in keeping the cone assembly reasonably compact (several inches) the size of the receptable for juice is somewhat limited. Perhaps because I've used one of these so long it's not an issue for me.
I can't count the number of juicings my Champion has had. It has never overheated, never jammed, never plugged up. The motor has never required service or maintenance. Does it remove more juice than any other juicer? No. If that's the supreme issue, buy a Norwalk. However, there is a device known as the People's Press--you can find it on the web--where you can use your Champion, discharging pulp into a cloth bag, then using a hydraulic press (like the Norwalk) to truly get all the juice out of the pulp. My pulp is damp, but again, I don't consider that the only criterion for juicing, not by a long shot. It's just an easy way to market machines.
I currently use two other juicers also, but if my Champion died tomorrow I'd order another one. I remember a few years ago seeing Elizabeth Taylor's kitchen in a magazine and there was a Champion like mine on her counter! Last place I expected to see one.
There is a small blanking plate one can put in place of the juicing screen. This makes great nut butters, drop them into the feed tube and out comes the butter at the other end. I've used this machine forever for frozen dessert by freezing banana pieces and strawberries, etc., then dropping them down the feed tube and coming out with soft-serve at the end of the cone. If one wants something like grated carrots, just run the machine without any plate under the cutting cone and beautiful grating will come out the bottom.
I've found over the years that each juicer has its strong points for some foods and is weaker at others. I've never gotten wheatgrass to do well in here. If I were doing wheatgrass daily I'd buy a juicer for it. On the whole, though, and if I could have just one juicer, this would still be the one. A couple of friends have bought Champions in the last few years and I don't see any difference in quality between mine and theirs. It amazes me that they can sell them so cheap now--the $300 I paid in the 70's was a lot dearer than now!

Samson 6 in 1 Electric Wheatgrass Juicer Review

Samson 6 in 1 Electric Wheatgrass Juicer
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is a nice product - it's heavier & larger than I would have expected, but it is simple to use.
It juices pretty much everything, and the pulp that is left over is really quite dry - more so than a lot of the centrifugal juicers I have used.
I went for this model over some of the others because I wanted something that was a little more multipurpose. So far I have made several batches of pasta with it - really rather good too!
Cleaning is straightforward, there's not that many nooks & crannies to get worked up about, the screen cleans easily with any soft brush, the toothbrush supplied is good enough.
In all there's the outer housing for the auger, the auger itself, the screen and the end cap & nozzle. These parts have all made it through the dishwasher - the screen is the only piece you really need to do by hand... the other bits all seem to come perfectly clean with a good rinse in hot water (after juicing, anyway).
The auger does it's job nicely, the motor seems to be suitably powerful.
About as loud as a regular food processor.
The only thing I would say is that perhaps the buttons should be sealed.
The instruction manual is simplistic, but there are a wealth of recipes available elsewhere.

Champion Juicer G5-PG710 G5-PG720-WHITE Commerical Heavy Duty Juicer Review

Champion Juicer G5-PG710 G5-PG720-WHITE Commerical Heavy Duty Juicer
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Whoever the reviewer named Joyce Evans is, she has a real problem, and it isn't Champion. This reviewer has gone on Amazon and other review sites with the same misrepresentation: that Champion doesn't support its older juicers with parts.
The Plastaket company, owned by the same family from the beginning, introduced the Champion in 1955. It was the same, now classic, design, using a large and very powerful GE motor turning at ~1700rpm, as opposed to 3500-16,000 rpm on a centrifugal juicer. Looking at the juicer, the feed/chute part, the cutting cone and the screen are made of high-grade nylon as opposed to the cheaper and easier molded plastic on today's juicers. With use over the years, the molds for these parts simply wore out and new, visually identical parts were made. However, this is a precision machine and the new parts were different enough that they don't fit the very oldest juicers.
My Champion was purchased nearly 30 years ago. After reading this woman's entries here and elsewhere, I called up Plastaket. As with any juicer heavily used, the cutting mechanism will dull over time and should be replaced every few years. The entire assembly was still available for my juicer, as I expected. I spoke at some length with the company and brought up this woman's work online. The change in the parts was explained to me; they readily stated that their very oldest juicers don't have an inventory of parts.
I ask other readers: how many small appliance manufacturers keep parts past a very few years? What do readers think of the probability of getting new cutting baskets for all these Juiceman and LaLanne labeled juicers 10 years from now, much less 30 years from now? The only juicers that I know of with enough history to check, are Acme/Omega (they use the same cutter wheel, still readily available) and Norwalk (at least for most parts for this $2000+ machine).
Though of course Ms. Evans doesn't bother to mention the age of the Champion to which she refers, re Plastaket it must be a very, very old model. This woman states on her profile that she is some type of 'professional' and 'educator'. This 1-star rating combined with her refusal or inability to even review the machine should nullify her review. I have no problem if this person doesn't like the machine--who knows what she is thinking? After seeing this very same, quite unfair byline on more than one juicer review site, I can't decide whether she's some type of Champion weirdo or just a nut.

The Champion Commercial Juicer is designed for continuous heavy-duty juicing of Fruits and Vegetables. In addition the Champion can make coconut milk, baby foods, fruit sauces, nut butters, ice creams, and sherbets. This juicer is not ideal for leafy greens and wheatgrass. The floating cutter is designed to separate the juice from the pulp all in one continuous operation with little to no intermittent cleaning. Powered by a full 1/3 horsepower, heavy-duty General Electric motor, the Champion Juicer is powerful, durable, and built to last. All juicer parts are made from 100% FDA accepted nylon and stainless steel. Heavy duty front and rear ball bearing installation for smoother running, maximum R.P.M.'S. Omega J8006 Nutrition Center Commercial Masticating Juicer, Black and Chrome Review

Omega J8006 Nutrition Center Commercial Masticating Juicer, Black and Chrome
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have rated the 8006 at five stars because of its efficiency, ease of use and quality of materials. The newly designed auger is a translucent black material that GE calls ULTEM. The warranty has been increase from 10 years to 15 years. The juicer probably functions the same as the model 8005 and 8002 so all of the previous reviews apply to the 8006. The power switch is located at the lower back of the juicer and allows the auger to be reversed if something would become lodged in the mastication extraction tube. The Omega auger is patented and has a two stage screen for greater juice output compared to other brands. For example, five medium sized HoneyCrisp apples produced a full quart of wonderful clear pulp-free juice. The apple juice does not turn brown nearly as fast as the juice from centrifugal type juicers due to the lower oxidation from the 80 rpm auger. There is very little foam, and the included screen can be used to filter the final product, if desired. The Omega 8006 does a great job with carrots but with this juicer as with any juicer, the smaller the items, the greater the juice extraction efficiency. I need to point out that the feed tube is only about 1.5" in diameter. There lies the problem with large tube centrifugal juicers. They waste about 20% of the juice and this is significant when you count the price of organic produce. I use a little cutting board to slice items while the juicer pulls them in almost by itself. It works very well. I juice greens including wheat grass and parsley, which can adhere to the spinning basket of a centrifugal juicer and cause the basket to be out of balance. This happened to me with a JuiceLady JL-500 and it cracked the top of the juicer before I could turn it off. If you do not want to cut the produce into smaller pieces then this is not the juicer for you. I enjoy using the 8006 and I have yet to see a bad review of an Omega single auger juicer. Of all the juicers made, this is definitely in the top ten and some websites rate it as No. 1. I can recommend this Omega juicer with no reservations. Enjoy!

Equipped with a powerful commercial motor, this masticating juice extractor thoroughly chews up plant fibers to fully extract vitamins, enzymes, and minerals from fruits and vegetables. The unit's dual-stage juicing system ensures maximum efficiency, while its low rotation speed of 80 RPMs means no foaming, no clogging, and no heat build-up. Other highlights include a high juice yield with very dry pulp, an automatic pulp-ejection function for continuous juicing, heavy-duty construction, four stabilizing feet, and quiet operation. Easy to assemble, operate, and clean, the UL- and cUL-approved masticating juice extractor measures 14-1/2 by 6-1/2 by 15-1/2 inches and carries a 10-year warranty.

Omega Vert Hd Vrt350 Juicer Review

Omega Vert Hd Vrt350 Juicer
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Ok, I hardly ever write reviews, but this juicer deserves the accolades I'm about to bestow upon it. I'm a heavy juicer, and go in fits and starts with heavy juicing and then no juicing. About a year or two ago I purchased the Omega 8003 juicer and have been happy with it. The main drawbacks to that juicer are its small diameter feed slot and the fact that you really have to "push" stuff along with the pusher. For the last couple of weeks I've been heavily juicing with that machine. My review is really from the perspective of what I'm coming from.
First, I did a lot of research on juicers (again). Although I looked at the Jack La Lane juicer which is a high speed juicer (and much cheaper), I found myself coming back to the slow speed for the same reasons that drove me to my original Omega 8003, namely, keeping the enzymes in tack, better taste (less watery) and a better yield (especially with organic fruit being so costly). It was taking me about 25 minutes to juice with the Omega 8003 including cleanup, which is a bit lengthy for a glass of juice. Now, in defense of the 8003, it does a really good job of juicing, pulp is dry and it makes a good juice. However, I tend to make really large glasses of juice (usually at least 24 oz) and it requires everything to be cut up into small enough pieces to fit in the small feeder. Apples take forever, and even feeding things like grapes you still have to push a few in, then mush it down, few more, mush it down etc etc. Process takes a while.
So my new VRT HD arrived today. Forget what HD stands for, but apparently the only difference is the strength of the inner filter/strainer, which I saw some reviews of cracking. I plan to work this thing like a mule, so I wanted the best.
Setup was super easy, all the parts were easy to figure out, never needed to read an instruction and I was off an juicing in minutes. I've done 4 juices today, so far using all fruits (apples, pineapple, carrots, grapes, pomegranate and kiwi). All I can say is WOW!!!
What I love so far: First and foremost, because its a vertical cylinder that masticates, I just drop in the fruit, say a carrot, and it grinds it right up. I can't cut off the tops fast enough. It just eats em right up. With the 8003, I have to jam and shove those things down into the screw. That alone is worth the price of admission. Just drop em in and watch em go. LOVE IT!! (can you tell I'm excited).
Everything else got chewed up just as well. I've used a lot of fleshy fruit today, and did have one issue on my second juice. My pineapple and grapes got clogged on the little outlet where the fiber ejects. I think that was my fault however because I think I got over zealous and excited. I slowed down my feed a bit on the subsequent juicing's and had zero issues.
Another feature I REALLY like is the self cleaning feature. A plastic thingy swirls around the outside of the screen/filter while your juicing and cleans the screen. In my 8003, grapes and other fleshy fruit really tend to clog the screen up, but I have had no issues all day. That screen comes out almost as clean as it went in.
I do get foam floating on top of my drink. I'd actually say a bit less than my 8003, which surprised me because in a web demo head to head with another 800? unit I watched on youtube it looked like the VRT produced a bit MORE foam, but this is not my experience. It's not a lot of foam, but I hate foam. Nothing that a quick skim with a spoon doesn't rectify. Pure tasty juice underneath.
Lastly, I was told in same said video that cleanup would take twice as long. I found that to be true for the first cleanup (not knowing what I was doing) but so far, my cleanup has maybe taken an additional minute. I find it quite simple actually, and once you figure out the pieces (not difficult), it actually seems little harder than my 8003.
All in all I absolutely LOVE this juicer. I can juice 24 or more ounces of juice, from opening the fridge door to putting the pieces back into the cabinet in under 10 minutes. The top feeder is so much wider which allows for much bigger pieces, which means a lot less cutting and preparation. Once it goes in, it self feeds, which means your not standing there mushing stuff down. Juice tastes great, fiber comes out reasonably dry, and clean up is simple enough.
It's only been a day, but what a great day its been.

Omega VRT330 Dual-Stage Vertical Single-Auger Low-Speed Juicer Review

Omega VRT330 Dual-Stage Vertical Single-Auger Low-Speed Juicer
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The first impression.
Let me start off by saying the construction of this machine is impressive. There was not a flimsy piece of plastic on the entire machine. The entire set-up is heavy gauge plastic, the machine easily reflects the $350 price tag, no questions asked. The machine is a lot heavier than most kitchen appliances, which is not a bad a thing. The machine was easy to clean and easy to assemble.
Performance.
To use this juicer you will need to cut up the produce, such as beets, apples, anything large and round. You need to cut them up anyway with your 3" shoot on the centrifugal juicer, most apples don't fit and the larger beats don't either. I use the apple corer/cuter from Pampered Chef, you can use it for the beets as well. Carrots fit fine, I could see some of the very large carrots needing to be cut.
The juicing operation is fast and effort less. They give you a pusher but you will not need it. The machine's design automatically pulls the produce into the hopper. All you need to do if feed the machine. The machine is extremely quiet, such a relief when I first turned it on, it almost sounds like a can opener but quieter. It's pretty simple, the produce gets crushed by the auger then pressed against the top metal mesh filter ring, then squeezed more then pressed against the bottom filter ring (there is one filter that consists of a top metal filter about an inch of plastic separating then a bottom ring, check the picture to get a better idea). There is also a outer self cleaning cover over the filter with three sets of three squiggy things one for the top filter, one for the bottom filter and one large one for the outer case. This thing cleans itself as it works, pour some water in the machine between juicing and it removes the remnants of what you just juiced, getting it ready for your next produce. Don't get me wrong this thing does not literally clean itself but the self cleaning mechanism makes it simple to clean at the end of juicing. The juice is separated from the pulp and flows out a spout in the bottom front of the machine and the pulp gets pushed out a shoot on the bottom side, it's actually pretty cool to watch, there is very little juice left in the pulp, much more efficient than the 3 models I tried.
Quality of the juice.
They advertise that by squeezing the produce you get a better tasting juice with more vitamins. I was skeptical when I read it. When I took my first sip of carrot juice I could tell the difference immediately. I couldn't figure out how to describe it though, it's both juice from a carrot, how can one taste so different. This might not make sense but this is how I will describe the taste difference. The juice from the centrifugal machines taste as if it was watered down compared to the juice from the Omega Vert. When I took my first sip of apple juice, there was no comparisons, the taste was so crisp and fresh, actually like taking a bite from an apple. I was amazed at the difference.
Orange juice from every juicer I have used never tasted like the fresh squeezed store bought juice, With the Omega Vert it does, same consistency with no separation, the separation you see in the glass of juice from a centrifugal juicer is what gives it the watered down taste. I am not knocking the juice that comes from other machines but to understand what I am saying you need to find away to taste the juice this machine puts out. I guarantee you will instantly taste the difference as I have and have an entire different outlook on juicing. I guess the high rpm's actually cause flavor to be lost, my theory is the shredding and spinning not the heat as others say, the machine spins so quickly that most of the liquid that escapes is water that is missing most of the vitamins, sugars, flavor and fibers. The Omega Vert operates at very low rmp's, and squeezes instead of shreds and spins
The one thing Omega did say was that there is no froth to the juice as it is squeezed and not spun, this was not true. There was very little froth compared to centrifugal models but it is present, but as I said there is no visible separation of the juice and it tastes absolutely fantastic.
Conclusion.
This juicer is expensive, but from what I have seen on my first day it is worth it just on construction alone, plus it comes with a 10 year FULL warranty, if anything breaks it is replaced. I have not dealt with their customer service department that much, I did asks them two questions via e-mail and it took 24 hours for a reply, but that's normal. They did ship the juicer out within 7 days which is good for a manufacturer. I hope I never have to deal with them enough to write about it in a review.
If juicing is a lifestyle to you then this is the juicer for you, hands down. It takes a little bit longer to prepare produce and clean the machine, add up that total extra time between this juicer and a centrifugal one and your only looking at a 5 minute difference. It all depends on how you prepare and what handy kitchen tools you have. I have only used this machine once but I have been juicing long enough to know a good thing when I see it. I want to submit this review because there are very few out there. From what I have seen with the quality the juice I am convinced I found my juicer. Only time will tell regarding to the machines durability and reliability, but as I said this thing is built like a tank and has a 10 year full warranty.
If you are going to purchase this juicer than purchase it through Omega's website, www.omegajuicer.com , they offer a 30 day money back guarantee. Amazon does not carry this juicer so you will not get their guarantee, every site selling on Amazon only excepts returns where the box has not been opened and the machine has never used plus add on to that a hefty restocking fee. I like shopping with the little guy but that is crazy. I like purchasing Amazon when I can as they have never done wrong by me but it was unfortunate they didn't carry this.
I normally don't leave a review at least a good review until I have used the product for at least two weeks, sometimes more. There are very little reviews out there of this juicer out there and it needs more as it is worth it. I have fallen in love with this thing and am convinced this thing is golden. I just want others out there to make sure they are aware I have only used this once , I used carrots, beets, oranges and celery on this all with great results and great performance. If you check You Tube you can find videos of demonstrations and comparisons with other machines. Checkout the Alive and aware site or Ferns, both sell this juicer on Amazon, they have good info and videos. Also try discountjuicers.com they have good info as well. Just remember if you buy and want a 30 day guarantee return policy buy from Omegajuicers.com.
Hope this helps.
Update 4/14/2011. I have used this juicer for close to 2 years now and just wanted to let you know it still works just as good as it did the day I first used it. This is absolutely a great juicer.

Equipped with a 2-horsepower-equivalent single-phase induction motor, this masticating juicer thoroughly chews up plant fibers to fully extract vitamins, enzymes, and minerals from fruits and vegetables, including wheatgrass and leafy greens. The unit's dual-stage juicing system ensures maximum juice and extremely dry pulp (the first crushing stage extracts and the second pressing stage squeezes), while its Low Speed Technology System (LSTS) and low rotation speed of 80 RPMs result in minimal heat build up and oxidation and maximum extraction of juice, flavor, and nutrients. Add a variety of fruits and vegetables with minimal prep work thanks to the juicer's wide feed-chute opening (measures approximately 2-1/4 by 1-1/4 inches). Best of all, its automatic pulp-ejection function into a pulp container allows for continuous juicing--compost the pulp or, better yet, use it to flavor soups, cakes, and more. The juicer also features an Automatic Wiping System that utilizes a silicone wiping blade, similar to a car's windshield wiper, to help keep the juicing screen free of excess pulp. Other highlights include built-in reverse mode to prevent food from getting stuck, heavy-duty construction, and quiet operation due to squeezing slowly rather than grinding at high speed like centrifugal juicers. Accessories include a fine dual-stage juicing screen, a coarse dual-stage screen, two 50-ounce juicing cups, a tamper, a cleaning brush, and an instruction manual. Easy to assemble, operate, and clean and in a vertical design that takes up minimal space on the counter, the UL- and cUL-approved 150-wattjuice extractor measures 9-5/6 by 6-4/5 by 15-5/6 inches and carries a 10-year limited warranty.
