Sadly, the geek squad trusted the level that is attached to the Siig wall mount instead of using their own level. My tv was off by 1/4 of an inch which was noticeable but I didn't catch until the next day in the daylight. Then Best Buy wanted to charge me $100 to come back and correct their mistake. The mount is very sturdy and I like it a lot since it is an articulating mount. I would recommend it but just make sure you check a second level!

(More customer reviews)I normally don't write reviews that often but I am very excited about this TV stand I had to share (since there are no other reviews). We have hardwood floors throughout our house, and before getting this stand we had some silver colored cheap stand from IKEA. It certainly lasted long enough, but my wife and I are trying to slowly move out of the college dorm room look... This stand offers a perfect transition from the hardwood floors up to the modern design of the flat panel TV.
This is definitely a very high quality item and at a very reasonable price. My only complaint at first was the cost of shipping. But once I received the shipment I realized why as it weighs around 200 lbs. The wood is dense and seems like it can withstand some abuse over the years, and has a nice mahogany finish. The glass shelves are thick and I didn't have any hesitation putting somewhat heavy A/V equipment on it. The metal frame is solid and you can probably land a helicopter on it.
As far as space goes there is plenty. I was able to comfortably fit: A 5 disk DVD/Stereo receiver, An old VCR (never know, might come in handy someday :), and Xbox 360, a standard size comcast cable receiver, a PS3, and a Wii... And there is still plenty of space in between them so it does not look cluttered. The two drawers at the bottom are large and offer a ton of room for game controllers for all three systems, chargers, remotes, and some other random stuff, with room left over.
What ended up being a selling point for me originally is the 3-in-1 mounting option. My original plan was to mount the TV to the provided post (as pictured) then use the included wall mount later on once we get the walls painted. But once I set the TV up on the post I really loved the way it looked. All of the A/V cables can be fed through the center of the post so they are hidden. Now, the only cables you can see in the back are the power cables.
One other reason I think I might just stick to the post mount is because of the pivot mount... The mount works great on the post and allows the TV to pivot left and right. However, I feel like if it was mounted to the wall it might look a little awkward because it would be sicking out far from the wall do to the space needed for the pivot. So if you are wanted to get that picture frame look that is flush against the wall you should probably look into getting a separate wall mount.

(More customer reviews)Since I was unable to find any reviews for this stand anywhere, I thought I would leave some feedback. The stand supports up to 50" televisions up to 117lbs. This is information I could not find anywhere before I bought it. The build is okay quality. Many of the edges didn't line up properly, such as the front doors not lining up even with the middle shelf above them. It is mainly a cosmetic thing. Also, the back support for putting the TV on did not line with the middle shelf where it had 2 screw holes. It took me and my wife 45 minutes to get it just right, and even then it require slight bending of the bar. Also, the instructions are not the best and felt like I was trying to decipher what to do at some points. If I had a need for a second one of this style, I would still probably buy another because there is not one major thing bad, just a few minor annoyances.
One final note, the 2 side cabinets are perfect for vertical gaming consoles, like the PS3 or Wii just like it says. However, ventilation is an issue. After the first day I had to remove my PS3 because it got too hot.

The piece that attaches to the studs in the wall is level and in very sturdy but the extending arm is slowly leaning down and it's an LED tv...not heavy. (More customer reviews)I've build several theater stands, and this one actually is very decent! No particle board, no poor translations, no xeroxed copies. Includes all assembly tools, and parts to accommodate any installation.
It took about 1.5hrs and a few beers. Only one thing to point out; you actually assemble the base upside down, then flip it rightside up - this was not clear in the instructions, so I but one shelf in wrong, but a few flips of teh screwdriver adn all is well. I wish the wire raceway went all the way thru the pedistal, but not that big of a deal.
It's holding a 55" Samsung securely, so no complaints, and it actually looks pretty cool.
I would recommend!

Wasn't a wood stud where it needed to be installed. I tried using supplied drywall anchors and screws. The plastic anchors messed up using an electric drill and screws were to large.
I had the common problem of creating a rounded out hole to big for the anchors.(stuff happens!) So,I checked my surplus hardware stash and found two metal drywall anchors with the spring loaded wing-nuts that lockup against the inside of the drywall. These are the best for any weight bearing install.
I didn't rate the shelf system 5 stars because of the supplied anchors & screws.
The shelf system was great and goodlooking. A very sturdy shelf holds the cable box and above on the next shelf is my blu-ray player. Adjusting the shelves was easy. I really liked being able to arrange all cables neatly through cableways on each side of the base and behind the shelf holders. This made a nice clean setup. Very pleased with the final results.
I experienced no instability in any of the shelves as I read in some review. This my be because of the use of the supplied anchoring hardware. Before install, go to the hardware store and get better hardware for the drywall. In my opinion, the metal wing-nut toggle bolt type are the best for load bearing shelving.

Peerless Universal Articulating Wall Arm for 37-Inch - 71-Inch Flat Panel Screens (Black) Review

(More customer reviews)This wall mount is a beast. It's cast aluminum and steel construction and it is definitely heavy duty. It accommodated a 75 pound LCD TV with ease. It does require some skill to install, especially if your wall framing isn't specifically set up for this mount. The cast aluminum mounting holes on the arms are 16" on center and have a sliding feature that allows you to slide the TV left or right a total of about 12". You might squeak out another few inches if you move the mounting plate on the back of the TV left or right, but plan on having the mount close to the center of your mounting point. My framing was set up so that I wound up milling some 1" ash lumber about 4" wide and using that to catch three studs. I could then attach this mount to the ash on the wall to put the TV dead center on the wall.
The actual mount is two pieces. The articulating arm mounts on the wall and the plate that goes on the back of your TV. It has a clever two bolt drop in system that allows you mount the wall arm and then slide the TV and TV mount onto the wall arm. There are 4 total bolts that hold the TV bracket to the wall mount. The wall mount uses 5/16 x 3 1/2" lags for wood studs. I can't comment on brick or steel framed walls - I had wood studs with drywall. One thing I did not like was that none of the included hardware for the TV mounting plate really had the proper washers for the TV bracket, they were simply too small. I bought some proper sized metric hex bolts and washers to mount the TV plate to the back of my TV.
The instructions could be better written and some of the bolts described in the directions don't match what is on the wall mount. Individual mounting variations aside, this mount easily adjusts in multiple directions and is extremely well built. I would recommend this mount as long as you have some carpentry skill and someone to help out. It's not a one person job because the mount itself is pretty heavy - 60+ pounds. As long as you have requisite installation skills, I would readily endorse the quality and construction of this wall mount.

I was looking for a very slim mount with no tilting. This on was the choice. It could be slimmer, but for the money, its what I expected. This thing if VERY strong. 4 lag screws are provided and mounting into the studs, I think I could have hung off the mount and I'm 225lbs. Installation is very easy. Just find the studs and level the wall plate and the hard part is over. There are little yellow clips that keep the TV from pulling off the wall. They look small and cheap. But when I tried to take the TV off to hide the wires, I couldn't get the dang thing off!!! Those clips will hold it for sure.
Be warned. With this mount, you may not have room for your cables. I had planned for this and mounted a wall box right behind the HDMI inputs to make it work. For me, the shallower the mount, the better.

The instructions are adequate since the installation is intuitive. The bracket is sturdy and easily handles a 42 inch LCD TV. The TV can be about 3 inches from the wall or extend about 13 inches away from the wall. It can also be rotated right or left and tilted slightly up or down. I have been using the bracket for 2 weeks and am satisfied with it`s performance.

This mount fits the majority of displays in the 23-32" size range and some models up to 42". Specifically, it fits VESA 50 - 200 hole patterns and TVs weighing up to 65lbs. If you are unfamiliar with VESA patterns, these are square or rectangular patterns between 2 and 8 inches per side. This mount provides 20" of extension, 180 degrees of rotation, +/- 15 degrees of tilt, 4 degrees of rotation adjustment, and collapses to 2.7" from the wall. This is truly a premium product and you get what you pay for (in a good way!) I love the adjustability. They have done such a nice job for cable management w/ beautiful plastic covers where needed. I've had this about a year now and am very satisfied with it.

I bought this to hang my Toshiba 52" above the fire place.
The instructions are easy to follow and any and all hardware come with the mount.
My only complaint is the mounting bracket, It could be wider.
The stud's in the wall are wider than 18" (non load bearing wall)
If it came with some sort of "extender" bracket then this unit would be absolutly PERFECT!.
I ended up cutting the sheetrock and added more 2x4 in the wall and put the sheet rock back.(wasn't too bad)
Once it was mounted, I extended the arm and put my weight on it (210lbs) this thing did not budge!
Very sturdy unit, it suprised the heck out of me.
I will buy another one without hesitation as soon as I get another flat TV for my bedroom.

This is a solid mount, the wall plate is 19.25" wide, allowing it to be mounted into two standard studs 16" apart. This provides a stable two stud installation for displays in the 23-55" size range. This mount will fit hole patterns up to 26.5" wide and 17.25" tall including all VESA standard hole patterns up to 400X600mm. It is made from 2mm steel and can handle displays weighing up to 155lbs. The profile is only 4.75" in the flat position yet offers up to 10 degrees of tilt. This mount is currently only available in black. Installation instructions and all mounting hardware are included.  We do offer some larger mounts that fill fit TV's that have a hole larger pattern.

(More customer reviews)I looked around quite a bit for a mount that I wanted. I wanted tilt and I wanted the articulating arms. Since I have a 400 x 200 VESA TV my options were limited. I decided on this one because it had prime shipping and some decent reviews. I should have read the reviews more carefully. (Pros and Cons at the end)
I'm a guy, so when I open up a project I want to figure it out and complete it on my own, then read the instructions. But this time I decided to give the instructions a try first. As another reviewer pointed out, THE INSTRUCTIONS HAVE NO WORDS ON THEM. Step 1 has 3 options you should use depending on your TV's VESA setup. I picked mine and installed it as pictured. It was frustrating that I couldn't tell where the top of the TV is on the diagram though. I found out I had set it up upside down so I had to take it off and put it back on. A simple word like TOP or BOTTOM would have been useful in this diagram. (For those of you who get it, the yellow clips go towards the bottom.)
So I got it all attached to my TV and they tell me to bust out a leveler and make sure the bracket your screw into the wall is straight. I proceed to do that and I'm pretty close to dead center and drive those long screws in. Then I put up the articulating arms which were a simple installation. All that's left is to attach the TV to the mount. I step back knowing I did everything right according to the instructions, feeling good to knock out a project (30 minute installation), and I realize my TV is not straight. But I did everything right, what is going on? So I adjust the tilt screws (to tilt it you must use a 10mm socket or wrench to loosen it, tilt it, then tighten it into position) thinking it might have been something I did wrong. Then I realize there is some play in the bracket. At least a few degrees (in the 85-88 degree vs. the 90 they claim). The fixing project may wait for another weekend, I may add some cushion underneath the area with play (the top of the bracket attached to the TV), or I may just take it apart and set it straight. If they had some words in the instructions both of the pains I experienced would have been avoided.

Instructions.
Tilting difficulty (use some type of ratcheting screw instead of the nuts/screws).
The play room which set it off center.
Overall it's a good and sturdy product. -1 star for the lack of clear instructions, and -1 star for the play room and the tilting. I'd still recommend and purchase this product but keep in mind what other reviewers and I have said. To the manufacturer if you fix these things you'll have a 5 star product.
