Top Fin Digital Aquarium Thermometer Review

Top Fin Digital Aquarium Thermometer
Average Reviews:

This product has worked great for me. I like that I can read the temperature at a glance from a distance. If you prefer Celsius (0C-50C) over Fahrenheit (32F-122F) or vice versa you can set it to your preference. I have used it in my small 10 gallon freshwater aquarium for about a year now and it still works great. It seems accurate but the suction cup tends to not stick to the glass after a while. It also has a small plastic tab in the back so you can sit it upright on a flat surface but if you want it on a wall or to stick it to something you could probably use a double sided sticky mounting square. Otherwise, I recommend this product and think it is worth the ten bucks.
UPDATE: If your temperature is not reading acurately change the battery. This may seem obvious but mine was reading 17.something degrees F at times and then would go back to the actual temperature ~77F. Nothing on the package instructs you to know when to change the battery. Mine lasted about a year. The battery size is an AG10 or 389 electronics button battery.

Aquavista Panoramic Wall Aquarium Review

Aquavista Panoramic Wall Aquarium
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
When I first saw photos of this thing online, I was like... "Wow, that can't be healthy for the fish at all." It's really flat.
I don't have one myself, but my uncle has this because he loves fish. His whole house is like a Museum of Aquatic Art or something; there's aquariums, seashells, and different kinds of sea creatures. He loves the sea, being a former professional surfer from Maui.
Anyway, it's pretty cool. The Panoramic is shaped like a flat-screen TV and it doesn't take up any space. There's this touch screen thing on the right that lets you control when to feed the fish, adjust the temperature of the water, the cleaning, and all sorts of cool stuff. I always ask him if I can feed the fish, but he never lets me. He said he only feeds them like once a month because of the aquarium "feeding itself."
I know the aquarium is really expensive, but it would be a really nice thing to have in a bigger house. It's really classy and it should make people who visit your house have something to talk about for a while.

Aquavista 500 Wall Mounted Aquarium with Seaweed Background Review

Aquavista 500 Wall Mounted Aquarium with Seaweed Background
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The instructions are pretty skimpy, but not much assembly is required since most accessories (heater, air pump, lamp, background) are built into the unit.
After securing the wall bracket and putting the bio rings on the filter sponge, the book says to fill it with water, then hang it on the wall bracket. I thought, why risk a crippling back injury? Hanging it BEFORE adding the water seemed more sensible, and using a bucket and step stool was easier for me.
It comes with a net, the gravel, a long-handled "grabber", a suction hose for water changes, a scrubber, 3 sponge filters and about 50 bio-rings for the filtering system. The air pump for the bubbler is a little loud, but you can turn it on or off with the electric control. The temperature, lights, and filtering are all controlled with the side panel, either automatically or manually. You always have to reset the clock should you need to turn the tank off, but your other settings are retained and the constant temperature readout is in nice big numbers.
The T-4 lighting tube didn't work from the getgo, so I attempted to unscrew the lamp cover and check the connections. The screws are tiny T-9 torx-head, but the fixture was DOA. Customer service did send me a new one, however.
The top flips up for access, and the unit has a 3/8" thick 6 ft. electrical cord. I wanted to hide it with cord cover, but it's a little big so I'll probably just paint it grey to match my wall.
There's not much floor space for decor and plants, but adding a few is good for the fish and adds depth and beauty to the background. On top, the small surface area of water-to-air restricts the amount of water oxygenation, so use the air pump a lot to compensate.
Being only about 4 inches wide limits the choice of occupants who can actually turn around in it. The booklet suggests several species that would be too large within a couple of months, so please disregard unless you plan on buying a larger aquarium soon. After cycling the tank through its deadly ammonia spike, I finally decided on 4 fancy guppies. They're a small but hardy and active species, and come in beautiful colors. It might also make a good Betta tank, since the filtering system is gentle, but they don't like rapid water movement or air bubblers.
Keep in mind that the small water volume is less forgiving and can quickly turn poisonous from fish waste, so plan on doing more frequent water changes and maintenance than the book suggests. I siphon out 1/3, or two gallons, every week and replace it with fresh, dechlorinated tap water of the same temperature.
For the price I wish I had bought a bigger tank, but there's a premium for convenience and "living art", and it does look pretty cool on my wall, I have to admit. As long as you're aware of its limitations, it should bring you lots of enjoyment.

Betta Divider Review

Betta Divider
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I purchased this item to divide my Bettas in my 2.5 gallon All Glass Aquarium. It comes with 2 glass dividers which surprised me because I was only expecting one and I also expected it to be acrylic or something cheap but it's glass. This item is great except for the fact that it has no holes for water flow. I plan on taking it to a glass cutter to get holes cut into it before I use it. Other than that it fits perfectly in the slots and is a great item.

Penn-Plax® Tank Dividers® for Aquariums Review

Penn-Plax® Tank Dividers® for Aquariums
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I got this divider for my 10 gallon long fish tank that I was going to use for two male bettas, but then decided to divide into three for three male bettas. I had only ordered one from Amazon, which arrived very quickly. Thus, I had to go to a pet store out of town to pick up the SAME THING, because I didn't want to divide into two, then go in and redo it all to divide into three (call me lazy). The dividers were the made by the same manufacturer, the Amazon version was less expensive, but I have to say... The one I got on Amazon is MUCH less flimsy (and I even broke the stabilizer on top on the Amazon one!) and doesn't need to be held up by tank decor at all. The one from the pet store? It has gravel holding it up, rocks, and driftwood supporting it. They were cut to the same size, and had the same general "pieces," but the Amazon by far outshines the other. I have nothing but rave reviews about this. Beyond that, the stabilizer on the Amazon version is a little taller that the one from the LFS - something I learned after the fact with horrible results (one of the males jumped over to the other side and fought with the other while I was at work. Definitely would buy again!t

This seller is not providing inaccurate information. The product they are selling is hinged longways down the middle. The product in the picture appears to have a door. There is also no "lamp-clamp" feature. It is also a little too big for standard 29 gallon size tanks.

I purchased a 2.5 gallon tank at PetSmart but they did not sell screens that would cover this small of a tank. I went online and found this screen. It fits on top of the tank and works just fine. I just have aquatic frogs so they aren't much threat to try to push the top off.
