(More customer reviews)This is a nice tank for a vivarium and the front opening doors make the inside more accessable, the only reason I dont give this 5 stars is bc of the very fragile hinges on the front doors which can break if not gently opened and closed.

The Exo Terra Terrarium is the ideal reptile or amphibian housing. The front opening glass doors allow easy access for maintenance and feeding. A specially designed lock will prevent escape and the doors can be opened separately. The full screen top ventilation allows UVB and infrared penetration, and is completely removable for easy access while decorating or cleaning. In the back of the screen cover are 5 closable wire or tube inlets on both sides to install Heat Wave Rocks, Waterfalls, sensors, etc, inside the Exo Terra Glass Terrarium. The bottom plate of the terrarium is raised to mount a substrate heater to heat a part of the extended ground surface. The extra high fixed front window is ideal for thick layers of substrates (burrowing reptiles), aquatic parts, or to mount an Exo Terra reptile den. The natural background (included with any size of the Exo Terra Glass Terrariums) is in the same color as all other Exo Terra decoration items (Water Dishes, Waterfalls, Heat Wave Rocks, etc.) and provides an extra climbing dimension. Decorations not included. Small measures 12"" X 12"" X 12"", medium measures 12"" X 12"" X 18"", large measures 18"" x 18"" x 18"", x-large measures 18"" x 18"" x 24"", xx-large measures 24"" x 18"" x 18"".

(More customer reviews)I am really happy with this tank. Glad that it is taller than wide. I have two White's Tree Frogs and they take advantage of the height. There is very little wrong with it. The only thing that could be made better the the door latch, which is in working order but might, in the future, might break. I was going to buy the 12x12x18 and am glad I went a couple sizes bigger. Worth the price for this very top of the line tank!

(More customer reviews)I bought this for my 3 pet hermit crabs and am very pleased. The only thing I wish they had included was some sort of backdrop/ foam wall/ climbing wall. But this is a very versatile, sturdy, no-nonsense terrarium. My crabs have since moved to another tank (Exo-Terra), just because of space-saving and personal preferences. But this 5 Gal is plenty big and looks nice anywhere you place it. Also easy to access (no fidgeting), and I love the extra feature of the metal add-on lamp holder (took 30 seconds to put on). I will definitely use this tank again in the future for my next reptile-type pet.
