(More customer reviews)because on those rare occasions when I've fried food this keeps the oil in the pan and off of me. Unlike the metal splatter screens I use to use. It's also great to use as a strainer when boiling a pot of spagetti. The handle stays nice and cool. This still looks as good as new and it's very durable and sturdy. This is not flimsy in any way. It's perfect for my needs and it looks great in my kitchen.
