My kitchen tends to get really bright in the evening right when I want to enjoy the space and these panels are so wonderful to tone down the intense sunlight. It doesn't block out the sun, rather it adds a glow to the room :)

Clematis Window Film 24-by-36-Inch Review

(More customer reviews)My husband applied this window film yesterday. The colors are rich, deep and very pretty. However, the instructions do not state that the film shrinks in the drying process. The film was cut to fit the window exactly, but while drying it began pulling away from the center. He had to then push the two pieces together to keep the match. When completely dried, the film now does not cover the entire window and there is a clear line of glass on each side. If we were forewarned about this and made proper adjustments, it would look professionally done. However, now it does not look as it should. Disappointed.

(More customer reviews)We purchased this at a local Home Depot for $25. We cut the length of the shade 1/2" longer than the marking on the shade. This allowed us to fit the space of the arched window more precisely. We did not use the adhesive (not yet) as I have concerns about putting the adhesive on my oak trim. While making adjustments to the shade, the paper wrinkles, however, the wrinkles easily crease out with your fingers. I love this shade!! It fits nicely in the window and the acrylic center holder allows you to make adjustments in different spots to make the space between the shade and the wood more even. We cut the shade against a speed square with a sharp kitchen knife. I hope to put a sheer decorative fabric on this some day to give it a bit of color, but until then I am VERY HAPPY with this window shade.

It looked nice enough in our living room that we decided to keep it as a permanent shade (we have the fabric, not paper version). Overall, this is a fantastic value for ~$8. The only thing that makes this less than ideal is that you need to manually lift and clip these to open them.

Redi Shade 3122531 Redi Arch Paper Window Shade 24-by-48-Inch Review

(More customer reviews)I bought a couple of these for my 2 half-circle windows on the front of my house. Each room becomes warm in the summertime, with the sun beating through the windows. This shade blocks the direct sunlight, but will still let ambient light through, which is fine for my needs. The rooms are much cooler now with this in place. The shades were easy to cut with a fine-toothed hacksaw. The only thing keeping me from scoring 5 out of 5 was the description indicating that the shade was made of vinyl and was washable. This is not the case, or at least it's not the type of vinyl I was expecting. It's more like a sturdy paper, and I am reluctant to wash it with water for fear of damaging the shade.
