The simplicity and eye catching aesthetics of the "Bello PVE-4218HG Flat Panel Audio Video System" caught my eye and ultimately sold me on this Flat Panel TV stand. I matched this black high gloss stand with my 50" Panasonic Flat panel plasma with its dark screen and black bezel to produce a stunning addition to any room.

The unit is only for standalone flat panels and has 3 separate black tempered safety glass shelves that will accommodate a number of audio video components. It is constructed of black, heavy duty, powder coated steel and when assembled, is a solid and handsome piece of furniture. The backside shelving connector also serves to help manage and hide cables and connectors. Assembly is relatively easy although the shelves are heavy enough to warrant caution in assembly.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this stand at best buy for $159 and I am very happy with the purchase. Build quality was good and the price was just reduced by half. I liked the glass being tinted a dark black because it went with the rest of my electronic equipment perfectly. My only complaint was the the dust on black really shows up within a day or two. After looking at the glass the bottom of the glass it looked like it was just painted to give it the tinted look. I liked the look of the flat black paint to I flipped the glass over to the opposite side and use it that way now. Dust still shows but more like over a week or two instead of daily.

OmniMount CCH1B Center Channel Speaker Shelf Review

(More customer reviews)This shelf seems to work fine when you use it as recommended however I found a trick that makes it look even better. Mount it upside down using the front lip of the shelf hooked over the front of your TV instead of the 2 pegs. It looks way better this way and functions about the same. When you do this, also be sure to mount the rear legs not in the normal spots, but just behind in one of the vent holes. That way, the screws will not protrude upwards. I also recommend using a bit of sticky tack mount between the center speaker (or other device) and the shelf, to provide a bit of further protection from the speaker being able to slide during an earthquake of if the shelf should get bumped.
My TV stand would only allow my center channel speaker to be placed on it's bottom shelf, not on the shelf directly below the TV. I tried it like that for a while, but the sound was no good. Having the speaker down by the floor made male voices sound muddy and when they spoke low or whispered, I couldn't even understand what they were saying-the sound was just lost with the speaker down there.
Although the look of this Omnimount shelf is not ideal because it detracts a bit from the beauty and sleekness of the TV, you do get used to it pretty quickly. I got the black one and it matches my TV (Sony SXRD 60a2000) and installing it upside down looks way sleeker than having 2 pegs in the front of the TV.
The sound from the center channel speaker is worlds better having it on top of the TV, than down by the floor. While I wish my TV stand allowed for placing the speaker on the upper shelf, this Omnimount shelf is the next best thing.
Be extra careful when installing this shelf so as not to scratch the front or top surfaces of your TV. Once it's on there, it should not scratch anything if you don't move it around. Also, this shelf really cannot support more than 30 pounds so be sure to weigh your speaker or device (or look in the manual for the weight specification).

(More customer reviews)I prefer a taller than the typical 24"+/- stand for my bedroom. At 30" high, its a better height for viewing my 40" LCD from the bed. The design is practical, with a wide top shelf for widescreen TVs. The narrower bottom shelves have plenty of room for gear, and you can set your subwoofer next to it without wasting extra floor space.
Aesthetically, it's a good look. Modern, but warmed by the cherry inserts. My bedroom set is turn-of-the-century, and I was pleasantly surprised at how well the stand blends in.
Setup is a breeze, but be aware that the package as shipped is VERY heavy due to the thick glass shelves. Once you get the package open and separate the shelves, assembly is fast and simple.

Here's the problem: Almost all stands 60 inches or bigger are ridiculously expensive, and massive in their own right. The Omnimount Echo 63 resolved both these issues. Its sleek, low profile, surprisingly strong, and incredibly cheap compared to other stands the same size. But the best feature of all is the way you can hide all your cables and wires discreetly. fantastic idea.
I was still skeptical ordering this product off amazon with no reviews or customer photos, but i fell in love with the contemporary design and decided to take a chance on it. I'm glad I did.
*** I will post photos of the stand in my living room to give fellow amazoners a better idea of what it looks like. (The tv sitting on top of it is a 32 inch Samsung)

Techcraft HBL44 44-Inch Flat Panel Television Stand Review

(More customer reviews)The appearance of the HBL44 is quite impressive, although you're going to need to dust the glossy black glass shelving regularly or get some anti-static cleaning spray. Dimensions are perfect for a 46" HDTV (no side overhang) although I believe it's built for a 37" to 42" HDTV.
As with other large furniture assembly, go through at least three rounds of screw checking and tightening and you'll have one solid piece of furniture. This stand doesn't creak, groan, or even wiggle slightly. Plan on half an hour for assembly between you and a friend and another hour for getting your A/V components placed and wired.
While this stand can take the heavier A/V components, my advice is to place the those components in the shelves and get as much of the wiring done before moving this stand onto its permanent floor location. The second shelf (from the bottom) has quite a bit more height than the bottom shelf, but it was still a tight squeeze getting a Denon receiver (AVR-1910) into the second shelf. Once in there, the receiver has plenty of room and wiring it up from the top or back couldn't be easier.
If you're strong or have a friend handy, you can get all of the components into the shelving and move this stand without too much trouble. Moving this stand is easy if you leave off the (heavy!) black glass top.
