(More customer reviews)Unit is well made, and looks like a fine piece of furniture. It has lots of nice features and fits my center speaker. Problem is getting one undamaged. This unit is very heavy, and the freight company did not take proper care, as evidenced by the condition of the box, and the fact that they stood the box on end, even though the box says not to do that. Inside the truck, there was a large screen TV wedged against the unit at an angle -- going right through the box. First delivery was severely damaged, and quickly replaced by Amazon. Second unit was in better shape, but not perfect -- needs some touch-up. If you do get this unit, get it from Amazon, as they will treat you well if you get a damaged one, as the exchange was as good as one could expect. Of course, there is the matter of unpacking, and repacking -- not trivial with something this big. Best unit in it's class based upon my research.

The appearance is ok and do the job for 46 lcd hdtv, do not know how long it will last, will never buy bedford and tvkeepers for they do not have phone csr. will stick to crate barrel

But.... was disappointed with the space available in the component area.... Once the tv retracts into the cabinet, there is no space to add a DVD player or Cable box. My TV is a 52" Sony and it is 32.5 high and when the tv retracts it leaves no space any components in the bottom. There is a way to adjust the high on the lift but no way to adjust the bottom. There is a 2.5 inch gap between the top of the TV and the inside of the cabinet but the opening roller is to low.. I called Touchstone and they sell an extention by it will just leave about 2inch open in the bottom. All my component are higher than 2 inches.

OmniMount Flat Panel Floor Stand with Universal Adapter and Shelf - FSUA-B Review

This is my second Omnimount stand/mount. I will say outright that their customer support is excellent. They are fast to answer, patient, courteous, and fast to resolve.

My last Omnimount mount was a cantilever architectural series wall mount. It was strong, attractive, and neat with the cable management. It even supported rotating into portrait mode without dismounting the display. The instructions were great and included a drilling template with an integrated folding dust catcher. Very well executed.
The Bad.
This stand on the other hand, had very poor instructions. They were of the "picture only" variety to save in translating and printing costs. Several grip pads were included but not referenced in the instructions requiring some guesswork.
The head had a fixed portrait or landscape positioning which was disappointing as I expected this much more expensive unit to have a mount head similar to the cantilever unit. Furthermore, the "lift n' lock" is much much more difficult to use than on the cantilever model and requires the unit to rest on the threads of the fixed bolts of the mounting head, risking damaging them. These bolts are also too close to the tilt mechanism's bolts to tighten with a HDTV in place without serious hand dexterity.
Finally, the TV mount head bracket was manufactured too small to slide over the top of the pole as indicated on the instructions requiring assembly at the final resting height to avoid scratching up the polished pole. This will also complicate disassembly, if necessary.
If the head had been of the cantilever's design and the head bracket had fit the pole properly this would have been a five star product despite the poor instructions which only frustrate during assembly.

I have looked at bakers racks for many months, always going back to this one because it was the right size, looked to be sturdy with enough storage space and I really liked the idea of having some extra drawers. What kept me from ordering it was the lack of product reviews and the lower price compared to other bakers racks made me wonder if I would get a flimsy piece of metal with particle board drawers. I finally purchased this bakers rack (though from another site and a different seller only because it was a better deal at the time). I'm happy I did as it is just what I was looking for. It looks just like the picture, including the wood color. The drawers are a bit shallow, but sturdy (although the inside bottoms of the drawers are wood composite). As for putting the rack together, it wasn't too difficult, once we found the screws stored behind the pullout drawers and we were able to figure out where to put the screws even though the instructions were not clear. Again, I did not purchase the item from this seller, so I can't vouch for them, but they likely order the product from the same manufacturer as the picture and description of the item are identical to the one I purchased. I am very happy with my purchase of this product and wanted to leave a review for others considering this item.

So, it definitely took two people to put it together. I have never encountered a piece of furniture that was so hard to put together. (More customer reviews)I love it because there was no assembly and still think it looks nice, but it didn't take much for a 2-yr-old to bump against one of the doors to have it rip off...not even at the hinges! It ripped off in the middle of the wood. The manufacturer offered me a discount on a new unit--can you believe that? I paid over $1000 only 8 months ago and get a discount on a new one? How ridiculous. There is NO repairing it. I now have to take the doors off both towers to make it even looking. I never give business to companies that don't offer more practical and better serving solutions to problems with the merchandise so I advise you to stay away from this company.

Design: What I really like about this design is that it holds 4 components (reciever, cable box, PS3, etc.) and has a large space for a center channel spreaker. Opening for the center speaker is 7.5 x 35.5" which will fit most large center channel speakers (mine is an Infinity PC350), and comes with a removable grill. Storage for cd's/dvd's on the side is a plus. No need to wall mount anything.
Price: I paid [...] for this on Amazon in Jan.'11 with free shipping, maybe pricey, but when I took into account that it is already asembled and I don't have to buy any wall mounts and did I say it is already assembled and looks like a real piece of furniture as opposed to the "Sauder" or "O'Sullivan" type assembly, well to me that justified the price. If I ever have to relocate, this will move like a dresser as opposed to something I assembled.
Construction/Shipping: Console is very sturdy and mine was built in Mexico. Amazon arranged delivery with a local furniture delivery company, no problems.

As it turns out there was no reason to worry, it really is a very nice piece of furniture. The wood was really finished nicely and had a nice shine while retaining it's slightly rustic quality. It is solid wood with beautiful finishes (glass inserts, knobs, shelf anchors) and you can see the high quality workmanship that went into this piece. Even the shipping packaging was high quality.
