(More customer reviews)This review is basically of the setup process and initial impressions, since we just finished setting it up. I'll add to it as we set how it performs.
First, the box says set up in less than 1.5 hours. Yeah, right. You'll want to make sure you have some real wrenches around, preferably a socket wrench and and standard wrench in 10mm and 8mm. The ones they provide are a joke.
Assembly started out okay. A few pieces were slightly bent but still useable without much difficulty. Then we found that one leg had been drilled completely wrong. Totally unusable. But since we'd bought it at the store, we were able to take just the leg back, and they pulled one out of another box for us. So a problem that shouldn't have happened, but it was solved easily enough. Finishing the assembly wasn't difficult, but took a while. We managed it with 2 adults.
Now it's fully assembled and looks really nice. It's very stable, even though we haven't staked it yet. It's on a brick patio, so staking it isn't going to be easy. But the screens seem pretty ineffective. Here in central Florida, it's the beginning of lovebug season. Today's the first day they've really been out in big numbers. Just to test, I closed the screens to see what would happen. The lovebugs seem to be enjoying the shelter and shade on the inside of the gazebo. Not too surprising, since there's a pretty sizeable gap between the ground and screen, and another gap between the screen and the canopy. So I'm not sure how useful that part is going to be.
But overall, it seems to be sturdy and stable. I am expecting it to make our hot, sunny patio more usable. I'll post again when we see how it goes over time.
