This stand was easy to assemble, quite heavy which is a good thing I suppose. I strongly suggest you get a set of carpet sliders for under each leg and the center support, moving this stand with full weight on it will likely break it. Sliders make it a lot easier for when you need to get back there to clean or switch something out.
There is a wire chase you can run your cables in so they aren't seen from below the TV. You will need 10 feet of whatever cable you use if you route the cables through the TV mount. I've got 3 HDMI, 1 Toslink Optical and 2 power cords running through mine and there is still a little more room in the chase. 10 feet is just the right length, enough for a little slack at both ends so you can pull out your components but no so much that it is coiling up either.
I've got a 55" TV on mine (see pic) and it fits the stand perfectly, just barely extending out beyond the width of the stand. The height is adjustable via a clamp that the TV mount rests on, this is what allows the TV to swivel.
