This met all of the criteria: fits a 42" flat screen, black, contemporary, not too bulky, and doors with glass (so the remotes will work on the cablebox and the blu-ray while keeping dust out). Of course I am always worried about purchasing furniture online but I just couldn't find anything anywhere, including IKEA, Target, on-line. My husband put this together in about an hour and he said the instructions are very thorough and IKEA-like (easy to follow). The quality gets an A+ especially for this price. Thanks for another great purchase Amazon!
