Yes, it is made out of quality materials and yes it looks very nice, but the mesh is too fine for the finches to comfortably get seed out. I had this feeder up for a week and only a few goldfinches fed on it. Most of them would rather wait in the branches for an open space on my tube feeder, even going to another feeder for black oil sunflower seeds rather than use this feeder. I watched them move around this feeder looking for available seed, then give up and go to the other feeders. The little clip to hold the top in place is cheap and useless. For the amount of $$ you pay for this you can get a much better feeder or multiple feeders of a cheaper, but more effective style.
