(More customer reviews)This is a light weight expanding gate suitable for keeping small dogs and children out of specific areas. It is not recommended for use at the top of a stairway since it can easily be knocked over. Its light weight makes it easy to move about but at the same time does not make it very durable. I would be reluctant to use it outdoors without applying several coats of a urethane finish first. Care should also be taken with small children to insure that they do not get little fingers pinched by closing or opening the product.
