(More customer reviews)This Pizza Pan was just what was needed to keep our pizza crisp.
When pizza comes off of a screen and goes on a board or platter, the crust begins to take on moisture and crust starts to turn soggy.
Now we take our pizzas off the screen and onto this pan where it can be cut, served and even stored on.
I have used it a few times in a pinch to cook on and thereby skipping the one step of the screen, but in the end we prefer to cook on the screens and transfer to this Pizza pan.
After extensive use of cutting pizza on this pan followed by going through the dish washer, I am convinced this pan will last a life time. It is still coated and shiney. Very heavy duty built.

(More customer reviews)If they were 12.25" they would fit in my convection oven, but the actual O.D. is 12.875" which is too big for the oven without bending or cutting the edges to make them fit.
Including the actual measurements of the items would be helpful. If they'd fit in my oven they would be great, the quality of the item is excellent and the price is very good. In fact it would cost me more in shipping to return them than I paid for the 2 screens.

(More customer reviews)folks, be careful here. I bought the item and didn't check out the s&h until checkout time! fully twice the price of the individual item! I expected a couple dollars, but that was sooo much!
But more than that was how the item was shipped! It was sent in a box the size of a huge Laser Player or amplifier... FILLED with the horrid styrafoam peanuts... (a personal pet peeve of mine... I much prefer the air-filled bags... easier on the environment)... anyway, here's this HUGE box filled with this junk, and this skinny little item on the inside.
Granted, I know you have to have a box to ship the item in. But with the item's size, you can ship it in a PIZZA type box, or even a cardboard box flattened and taped over it.
CERTAINLY not worth the price of $8.95 of shipping!

(More customer reviews)These pizza screens seem to be hard to find locally. I ordered a 14" to replace a similar pizza screen that I received as a gift some 20 years ago. Anyhow, if you like to have crisp crust identical to placing a pizza right on an oven rack, than this is what you want. The advantage of using the screen is that there is no mess left in the oven and you can also easily remove the pizza from the oven. If you like a softer pizza, than this is not what you want. The 14" size seems to be about right for most frozen pizzas.

(More customer reviews)My new toaster oven (Euro-Pro TO251 Convection 6-Slice Toaster Oven with Pizza Pan) came with a pizza bulge and a 12" round pan. Usually when I make thin crust pizza (using an already-made lavosh or wrap or flour tortilla), I have to crisp the crust first so that the bottom of the final product is not too flabby and soggy. Also we like to melt cheese on tortillas with other things (chopped up onion, avocado, leftover meat), and the tortillas too can have a soggy flabby bottom. So I bought this pizza screen to see if I could skip the pre-crisping step when making pizza and tortilla melts.
It does the job. If heated with only bottom heat ("bake"), both tortillas and pizzas come out with pleasantly crisped, but not too crisped, bottoms. With bottom & top heat ("grill" on my toaster oven), the top was done before the bottom was as crisp as I wanted. Also, by playing with the bake temperature, I'm sure you could adjust the amount of crisping to what is right for what you are cooking.
The surface is sort of rough and grabby, but I have not had problems with sticking. Following the advice of other reviewers, I sprayed it with Pam before first use. Just to test an extreme condition, I put a raw biscuit on the screen and baked it. It sunk down into the mesh almost 2mm, but didn't stick at all, and the had a nice diamond tiling embossed on the bottom. I'd prefer one made out of smooth round wire rather than the rough expanded mesh this is, but it does seem to work fine.
It is almost exactly 12" in diameter, so 3 regular sized tortillas fit on it just fine. The screen arrived with a slight factory oil smell, so I first ran it through the dishwasher. Also it has a very slight bulge in it (maybe about 3/16 of an inch), which can be a feature if you want to force stuff to pool in the middle or run to the edges depending on how you flip it. The bulge is a bit uneven, looks like poor handling at the factory or in shipping, but isn't a problem. I'd give it 5 stars if it were smooth and didn't have the bulge, but I am very happy with it nevertheless
