(More customer reviews)This is a great door but don't plan to purchase one..... they are discontinued. There is NO other door on the market currently that fits this exact measurement so if you need to replace (as I did) you will most likely be looking for someone who purchased one and decided not to use it. You can still purchase an after market replacement alarm security door but it is just plastic - the security is in the "alarm" which sounds if the door is removed. As an aside, every time you set the alarm, it will go off when you remove the panel so be QUICK! It makes my dogs insane with the noise. Flaps are still available at this time for the door but I'm buying some extra just in case. What a shame PetSafe didn't replace this door with one of the same door cut size. It's silly that you would have to remove your door and make a new cut for size simply because when they bought out the company that originally made this product they discontinued it..
Having said all that, if you can find one, they are very sturdy and really are the "ultimate" door. Flaps are heavy but do not blow in with the wind. Excellent product and the best I've ever had installed - stood up to my multiple dogs going in and out all day! Even the flaps are very durable but who knows how long you will be able to replace them. In fact, I am replacing my door only because the man who installed it put it in backwards (inside framing is outside) and rather than take a chance that the framing screws are stipped, I decided to go with the one (and only) new one I could find.
