These coals are what they say, easy to light, last a decent amount of time and don't affect taste. If you want cheap, effective, nice, easy light coals these are the ones for you!

(More customer reviews)I bought this burner so that I could burn resin incense using charcoal and was pleasantly surprised in that it is not 3 1/2 inches tall as Amazon states but is alittle over 4 inches deep.
I also used charcoal ash to fill this burner so that it acts as a buffer against the heat of the charcoal and it burned evenly with the burner remaining warm to the touch.
You can also used this burner to hold thin tapered candles, burn stick incense and in inverting the screen can also use it as a tea light candle holder. You get alot out of this burner for such a cheap price!

The charcoal I found to work best is hookah charcoal and this incense burner has a small grate you can flip over to hold charcoal. Then pile the loose incense on when the charcoal is going.
This is a simple, inexpensive replacement for larger much more expensive burners.
