(More customer reviews)I've bought two of these kettles and it looks great. Unfortunately I've had to return two of these kettles because of the poor quality plastic used in the handle. In each return (and even some boxes that I opened in a store) the problem was the same: the platic handle broke. I guess the outward pressure of the metal portion of the handle is too strong for the plastic used and it snaps. When it happened once, it could be a fluke. It happened twice, I'm starting to get suspicious. I open boxes in a store and see the same problem and we have a design flaw. I've given up on this kettle and will keep looking for a stylish kettle.

(More customer reviews)This toaster is actually the nicest toaster I have ever owned. I struggled between 3 and 4 stars, but really, it's a toaster. If it doesn't do everything you want, you can't really find something else to compensate.
Pros: Love the digital controls and the timer.
Slots are more than wide enough to accept bagels
Toasts my bagels and english muffins to perfection
Cons: As others mentioned, the slots are not long enough to take longer pieces of bread, like a panini
This is the worst for me: the power cord is PAINFULLY short. I don't think it's even 12 inches. If you have a huge kitchen and tons of counter space, you may not see this as a problem. But my kitchen is tiny, and I have a SINGLE outlet to use. Because of the cord's length, I practically have to have this up against the wall (the controls on the side add to this problem, it seems to me every other toaster I have owned has the controls on the front). It's inconvienent, because I have other appliances that stay on my counter all the time, I only take this out for breakfast. Because this cord is so short, I always have to rearrange my counter top every morning. I guess I could get an extension cord or move my blender, but really, why can't Krups put a power cord on this thing that's the same length as the rest of my appliances?

(More customer reviews)Overall this is an excellent microwave, but with a few caveats:
1)I had read other reviews regarding the unreadability of the display on this and similar Panasonic microwaves, but didn't fully appreciate the problem until it was set up on my counter top. The display is unreadable above 45 degrees from the horizontal, which means that at arm's length to operate the controls, you must bend over to see the display. My solution, which was to build a stand to raise the top of the microwave up to the bottom of the cabinets, made the display high enough to be (barely) readable while standing up, but is probably not acceptable to a lot of people. Panasonic should have caught this in testing and provided a flip-up display that could be adjusted to the installation.
2)Also as mentioned in some of the other reviews, the door release button requires so much force (at least when new) that the unit will skid across the counter-top unless you hold it with your other hand. Mine is mounted in the corner, where it has some stability, but it is still marginal.
3)This unit replaced a Panasonic in which the touch-pad controls died, and the buttons here are indeed logical and have a good solid feel to them.It does take some time to learn programming without a touch-pad, but that shouldn't be an overall issue in your decision.
4)Panasonic could do themselves a favor by better explaining the benefits of the terms Turbo, Inverter, and Sensor, as this microwave indeed performs very, very well after you get over some of the other problems.
