(More customer reviews)I buy a lot of Dimensions paintings, and they have all been very fun to paint. This painting is very detailed, high-quality, and realistic. I think it would be too difficult for children under the age of 13 because of all the tiny details. Since it comes with only one paint brush, you may need to purchase a brush with a finer tip for the smaller areas on the painting. Overall, I had a lot of fun painting this, and it turned out beautiful. The colors blend very well, and it is fun to create the mixed colors. I would recommend this to anyone who likes paint-by-number kits or painting.

It is a large painting that may take awhile for most people to complete, but it is worth the time and patience. The finished painting is beautiful and almost looks real enough to be a photograph! I highly recommend this painting to anyone who enjoys arts and crafts.

bright for my liking. It also is intricate and takes patience to paint
it correctly. I have been requested to paint this for others. I enjoyed
painting it because it was a challenge. Once again I can't speak high
enough about Dimensions. I have recently purchased three more of their
paintings. I am 79 years old and enjoy the concentration it takes to
paint all of Dimensions' "works".

(More customer reviews)I just finished this painting. This is not appropriate for someone under the age of 15. The spaces are small, and for a child it would be difficult. This is not the first painting that I have purchased. I have purchased paintings from both Deminsions and CraftHouse. The only complaint that I have about Demensions is that they only provide one brush and most of the time the bristles splinter and it makes it difficult to paint the small areas. CraftHouse always provides 2 which is what I use on all of the paintings. I enjoy all of the paintings that I have purchased. I lean more to the scenery especially the sea scapes.

(More customer reviews)I've recently started doing Paint by Number again, which I had not done since childhood. I'm now in my 40s. I can't draw a horse that doesn't look like a dog, and the people I draw look more like each other than anyone actually living. So I'll never be an artist. But I'm a grad student, full-time writer, and part-time college instructor, so my poor brain is always in overdrive. Paint by Number requires close attention, and can be fairly intricate, but doesn't require my brain to work particularly hard. It's a perfect relaxation hobby. I truly enjoy watching an image emerge from a line drawing, and some of the finished products are quite lovely. Not high art, but a pleasure to look at nonetheless.
This kit wouldn't be appropriate for a very young painter; I would say middle-school age at the youngest, and probably somewhat older. It's quite intricate and might frustrate a younger child. But adults will really enjoy it - both the task and the outcome.
I have found that I enjoy Dimensions PBN kits the most, because of the mix of excellent scenes, quality paints and good instructions. In some other companies' products, I have found sections without numbers, so you have to look at the kit front to see what color to paint. Some are confusing. Dimensions kits never have a glitch.
The first time I saw Cardinals in Winter, I had to have it. I resisted several weeks because I had several kits I hadn't finished yet. But finally I got it, and it's just as lovely as I thought. I love snow, I love the Victorian era, and cardinals are a favorite of mine. A great combination.
The kit was shipped to me quickly and well-packaged. The price was acceptable. I would recommend the kits and the seller.
