(More customer reviews)Saw this in a local hardware store. Amazon's price beat theirs significantly and this brush set eliminates an old chore. Have tried plastic shields which warp and are hard to remove for cleaning. The brushes come out as easy as they go in. However, I haven't needed to clean my gutters since I installed the brushes. If the price seems high per foot, just buy enough to cover a few feet from the downspout drainholes.

4 Wedge Downspout Screens Review

(More customer reviews)I've seen the negative reviews and don't really understand them. I've had a Wedge in one of my 30' gutters for a year now as an experiment and recently went up to check. This gutter was not overflowing - I was just curious to see about the status. The other gutter WITHOUT one of these WAS overflowing and the downspout was all jammed up. I mainly have a problem with those maple-seed helicopter whirleys but not a huge amount of leaves in my gutters. There really were virtually no leaves in my gutters, quite a few of the helicopters, but this gutter was not overflowing and the one without was jammed up and overflowing. Of course, maybe a regular screen downspout filter would've done the same thing.
The other complaint from folks is that they don't stay put, too light. That makes sense but again I'm lucky because there is a support bracket right in place near each downspout hole and "The Wedge" just wedges right in there. I guess that's a solution to the looseness - add a gutter bracket in just the right place. So, these do appear to work in my experience, at least with the helicopter seeds. I put another one of these in my other 30' gutter.
I also don't have any expectation that I can just ignore my gutters forever once I've put these in - I think you need to check them yearly no matter what you do.
