(More customer reviews)I really needed some curtains for the DR/kitchen window; it is 94" tall and 36" wide and looks out onto the front porch. Since we live in a cold climate, it often looks out over a front yard covered in snow; the white tab-top curtains over it looked too bland and drab, merely serviceable. Since my kitchen and DR are only separated by a counter-top bar, the decor runs together; old wooden and metal signs for eggs, vegetables, and fruit, baskets, and roosters, a real country-kitchen theme. But nowhere could I find curtains that were the right length or supported this theme, that weren't frilly, fussy, and lacy. The European Cafe' theme just seemed to fit. It adds so much color to the room, and when viewed from the porch is colorful yet homey and peaceful - just like I want my kitchen to feel. As an artist, it is important to me to have a colorful, interesting, yet not-too-busy home setting. These were not too heavy, but let in a softly muted and pleasing glow. It isn't just a curtain, it is real window art, and a nice focal point from both the porch outside and the rooms inside.

Handmade and hand painted:Each of our beaded curtains begins with approximately 4000 beads cut into 2.5" sections from natural bamboo stalks. The bamboo beads are then strung together by hand using wire to create a strand. 125 strands are then attached to a wooden hanging bar to create a bamboo beaded curtain. Finally, each bead and strand is individually hand painted producing the art you see on each beaded curtain. Since each bead is entirely painted the image is viewable on both sides of the curtain from any angle.Highest quality with 125 strands:Our hand painted bamboo beaded curtains are the highest quality beaded curtains currently being manufactured. Each bamboo curtain is truly in a class of its own. As an importer of beaded curtains for nearly 10 years, we have learned by trial, error, and customer feedback. From our experience we have found 125 strands to be the ideal number of strands per curtain. This strand count provides curtain density, durability, and vivid image detail. With less than 125 strands, you lose density and detail in the painting. With greater than 125 strands, the bead diameter becomes too small making the beads fragile and prone to breaking.

(More customer reviews)I opened up our closet by taking down the doors and wall, and this is one of the curtains my wife chose to use to close off the closet. It looks great and works well
the art work is very good and the same from both sides. and any movement of air will make them sway and give the illusion of movement, we find that to be a very cool effect
one we did not expect, but one I thing most will like a lot. They came well packaged. and got to me on time.
