(More customer reviews)This product does most of what it says. It's highly adjustable, easy to install and you can see through the mesh. HOWEVER, it's very difficult to see through the mesh at night AND (the really big problem) is the flexible frame. I transport dogs often and all they have to do is put a paw on the mesh and they can get the "flexible" frame to come right done. If you've ever delt with a dog with any anxiety, it will be a huge problem. I'm going to return it.

(More customer reviews)We use this divider in a 2007 Subaru Forester to keep our two dogs separated. (They are not the best of friends.) I have also been told that it is safer (if you get in an accident) to keep your dog in a smaller, more confined space such as this provides. The assembly was fairly straightforward and didn't take too long with two people working together. Some of the wing nuts can get cross threaded if you aren't careful. My biggest complaint is that the long threaded bolts that run from floor to ceiling can get loose very easily and the whole thing rattles very loudly. I am constantly having to readjust this piece (at least once on every long trip). Fortunately, all it takes is a twist of the large wing nuts, but it's still kind of a pain.

(More customer reviews)This is not a terribly expensive product and for the price, it works ok. It easily fit my Jeep Cherokee--no need for the extensions which was nice. However, it required modifications for it to stay in place. The screws which are supposed to hold the cross pieces in place do not tighten enough and my dog was able to push between the cross pieces and slide them apart! My husband used clamps to secure the cross pieces and they now work fine. The device could use some spring tension to tighten it between floor and ceiling as well because it can get knocked out of place (without even loosening). All that being said, if you are handy with a few tools, this barrier works well and is rather streamlined and unobtrusive.
