This set of sieves has replaced several pieces of equipment in my kitchen and made my life much easier on many fronts. Gone are my sifter, mini sieve, and 2 quart mesh strainer. The sifter could never be cleaned properly and was always rusting. The mini sieve (the type that fits over a mug or small bowl) never seemed to hold as much as I needed it to and the screen would always pop out under presser when squeezing moisture out of sauerkraut. The strainer, which I used mostly for removing the seeds from berries for canning and cooking had been a solution to the seeds that crept through my high-hat.
These sieves fit easily over a wide variety of cookware and bowls and make smooth sauces, beautiful fruit and vegatable purees and light evenly mixed baking products. They clean up in a snap and don't rust. Nesting for storage, they take up very little room and fit easily under my large colendar, which is seeing less use now that I have the largest sieve.
The only problem I have with the sieves is keeping them away from the rest of the family. The kids want to use them in the bathtub and in the sandbox, and I caught my husband trying to sneak them out to his garden shed to mix soil with! This had led to me deciding that everyone is getting a set for the holidays so they will leave mine alone!
