Gigatent Trek Canopy Review

(More customer reviews)I have been a multiple-times-a-year camper for close to 30 years, and have been using the standard $30 dining canopy for most of them. I decided to get the Giga Tent canopy because it said it would be tight as a drum when staked out "properly." And I suppose it might just do that, but rarely do I find myself in a perfectly flat, tree-and rock-free-campsite! So it was hardly ideal and actually less reliable than the old fashioned canopy they dis in their description. The four poles are shock corded, but they are far thinner, and flimsier, than the aluminum poles in the standard canopy. Each pole comes with just one guy line -- and that is where it fails. Because not every situation allows for precise settings of the guy lines. We wound up using additional guy lines from the old canopy that I had brought along just in case. Finally, it failed in the rain. Yes, of course, it rained, and because it was no where near "tight as a drum" because we couldn't stake it out properly, the rain actually collapsed it twice -- something that has never, ever happened with the old canopies. We were diligent in the heavy rain and did "rain duty," lifting the canopy from beneath to let the pooled water run off, but then in a light rain we were not as quick to get to the pooled areas and where the old fashioned canopies just reach a point and then the water runs off by gravity, the pooled water and gravity worked together to bring it down. I will bring it again when we camp in a few weeks, but if the forecast calls for rain I will leave it in the truck and put up old faithful.

We have improved on the design by covering the center grommet to keep rain from running down the pole and added Extra reinforcements at the corners to prevent tearing. (More customer reviews)We've used this machine at our home overseas in 220-240V version for over four years and have found it to be flawless in performance, effortless in programming and use, so uncomplicated to use that we had this in a orthodontists office where adults and children alike used the machine. Purchased the 110-120V version and am delighted with performance (seems to be some improvements over orignal model we own) Creates an excellent crema at the perfect temperature when pulling a shot(s) of espresso or an americano. Preinfusion feature insures great results. Plenty of powerful, dry steam for frothing milk. A breeze to use the cappucinador by placing line into milk jug or container, frothing milk directly into the cup. Touch screen panel gives clear and straightfoward commands. Audible bell tone advises if there is an item not in place, not enough water or dump bin needs to be cleaned. Generally I make between 18-22 coffees before needing to remove and clean the dump bin. Pleasant cobalt blue power switch and cobalt blue light that illuminates the large water tank. Grinder adjustment is very easy. customer service taught me a trick where you can "increase the grind time" thus receiving optimum results from a hard or heavily roasted coffee bean. This gave us the capability of achieving a sold coffee cake or puck after each coffee. We owned another brand here in america and it was difficult to remove the brewing group (a key was required). This one extremely easy to remove for cleaning with one turn of a clip and one knob that you unscrew. All in all we view this machine as outstanding and our thrilled that we can recommend our friends to buy it on Amazon. Although the water reservoir and bean container is larger than a unit that we used from Switzerland, I'm going to contact the maker to see if it's possible to get even a larger water reservoir and a larger bean container.

(More customer reviews)I've had this unit for about 3 weeks and it's running quite well. It arrived quickly and undamaged. Packing could have been better but since it arrived OK, no problem. It fits 18 normal wine bottles (750ml). It's quite quiet (certainly less noisy than the Cusinart I had). Temperature is adjustable and accurate. Obviously it allows for one temperature, so if you like your white wines chilled you'll probably have to move it to the fridge and hour before you open the bottle.
Overall I'm very happy with this unit. We called a wine store for a recommendation and this is the manufacturer he recommended.

Landmann 7740 40-Inch Round Grate for Outdoor Fire Pits Review

Once it was finished, we realized we needed a grate of some sort to burn fires more efficiently. We checked Amazon on line and found this 40" grate which fit perfectly inside the 48" firepit. Very sturdy, heavy, well-built. Nothing flimsy about it. It should last us for years and years of outdoor fires.

(More customer reviews)When I first saw photos of this thing online, I was like... "Wow, that can't be healthy for the fish at all." It's really flat.
I don't have one myself, but my uncle has this because he loves fish. His whole house is like a Museum of Aquatic Art or something; there's aquariums, seashells, and different kinds of sea creatures. He loves the sea, being a former professional surfer from Maui.
Anyway, it's pretty cool. The Panoramic is shaped like a flat-screen TV and it doesn't take up any space. There's this touch screen thing on the right that lets you control when to feed the fish, adjust the temperature of the water, the cleaning, and all sorts of cool stuff. I always ask him if I can feed the fish, but he never lets me. He said he only feeds them like once a month because of the aquarium "feeding itself."
I know the aquarium is really expensive, but it would be a really nice thing to have in a bigger house. It's really classy and it should make people who visit your house have something to talk about for a while.

(More customer reviews)Our microwave was delivered and installed on 6/28, it worked for twenty minutes. On 7/3 the repairman came to fix it, he ordered parts. On 7/18 he returned with parts, however, the microwave is still in parts on the kitchen floor, numerous calls to everyone concerned with it (Whirlpool, Lowes, the installers, and an 'authorized' repair facility) and have garnered only apologies. I believe this was an item that needed more research before purchase. So as the title says, beautiful to look at because that's all we can do, and actually since it's in parts on the kitchen floor, it isn't even that.
(ASIDE) The Whirlpool folks were particularly apologetic, it seemed as though they were trained to say, "I'm sorry and there's nothing we can do.", as they managed this in a pleasant, polite, and smarmy manner.

Deluxe Squeezo Strainer Review

(More customer reviews)We bought the Squeezo Deluxe second hand to deal with our ever increasing quantity of tomatoes. It's many years old, but still functions like magic. Overall, I can't believe that something being produced for so long, without change, is still so good. (I guess you don't mess with a good thing)
Using the product is easy. Mount it on the table, and set one bowl out for the juice, and one out to collect the fibrous parts. Cut whatever you're wanting to juice/sauce into chucks small enough to fit down the chute (which is pretty good sized), and crank away at a reasonable pace. It's easy to turn, and you will see the juice coming out through the screen and down the ramp. If the pulp still feels wet, just run it through again. When done, pop the parts apart, clean, and lay out to dry. The hopper is large, so you aren't constantly having to feed stuff in.
The entire construction is metal, so this thing lasts a long time. The parts are pretty easy to clean, and if you have any parts break, you can still buy all of the individual pieces through the current manufacturer (it changed hands a while back).
This style also benefits in that unlike many of the motorized strainers/juicers, this doesn't heat what you're trying to strain, so the nutrients stay in the food. The benefit of the Deluxe model is that you get the additional screens along with all of the standard parts.
If you are looking for something to help with saucing, juicing, etc., the Squeezo is what you want.
